Mystery stories Chapter 2

Time: 30 June 2005 8.03 pm
Setting: kitchen
Jun yu slipped away from the kitchen - away from his chores - into his parents room. They acted as if he was non-existent and continued watching their TV. This suited him well and for the next half an hour he sat in his parents room watching television. This was where things started to get heated up. Jun chong screamed for his mother but it was jun yu who came to his aid. He knew wad was wrong from the moment his brother screamed To him things got heated up half an hour ago, and for a good reason. He switched the appliance off but it was too late, the house had been covered in smoke. What began as a simple task became a tragedy. The damage was done and tried as he might it was near impossible to do anything but wait.

Time: 30 June 2005 10.00 pm

News reporter: Today at ard 8.00 pm a fire broke out at an apartment in simei. Reports from the fire department shows that the fire started in the kitchen. There were no survivors in this fire with all the casualties suffering up to 3rd degree burns. Police investigations show a few families were swimming when the pool got heated up boiling the swimmers alive. The pool soon dried up and charred the swimmers black. Mystery of the missing cushion cover...

Based on a true story

The author shall not be held liable if the story in one way or another coincides with any other story of similar form

It was a bright n sunny afternoon, all was as usual...Until jun yu's mother asked him to mop the floor.
Lazy to get off the sofa he turned her down much to her dismay. She then requested that he change the sofa cushions covers instead. Since he was on the sofa he agreed attempting to get her off his back for the rest of the day. He changed the cushion covers through a television show throwing the replaced ones on the floor. For no apparent reason he slowed down on the 8th cover, taking a 5-10 min interval before he continued. He did eventually finish but things didn't end there. Evidence showed that there was only 6 cushion covers in the washing machine. the remaining four....disappeared. Accounts from various witnesses matched and there was no clear indication as to where they had gone to. Thorough searches at the scenes of crime and places within the vicinity were fruitless. In a moment of desperation a reward or 1000c was set in an attempting to finally put an end to the mystery. Sherlock Holmes once said that once the probable has been invalidated and all the evidence points to the improbable, then it must be the truth. Jun Yu's weird in nature younger brother then thought of the most improbable place and he was duly rewarded. The aftermath was a back breaking task for Jun Yu for he had to undo wad he did wrong. The 4 cushion covers joined their friends in the washing machine and the mystery was solved.
the following is a adapted dialogue taken from the washing machine
6 Cushion Covers(CC6): Oei where were you all...make us wait so long
4 Cushion Covers(CC4): Aiyah that stupid guy lah change also dunno how to change...wonder y he's not in woodbridge
CC6: eh u fail compre arh...we asked u all where u were...u tell us so much crap for wad
CC4: aiyah relac lah brother kan jiong wad...bloody gu niangs
CC6: oei answer the qn leh
CC4: I tell u lah the idiot forget to take us off then put the new cover over us lah retarded right

The dialogue from here onwards contains many explicit language not suitable for readers and has been censored by the Yeobi Wan censoring board. Apologies for the inconvenience caused in one way or another.

At the next story, may we meet again.
